Hill's Group: Bev Perdue, Kay Hagan support Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Wednesday announced that members of the statewide Women for Hillary network include former Gov. Bev Perdue and former U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan.

Membership in Women for Hillary includes local government officials, businesspeople, abortion rights leaders and Democratic women in the legislature.

“There is no one better qualified or more capable of leveling the playing field for the women of North Carolina than Hillary Clinton,” Perdue said in a statement. “Women are now the primary or co-breadwinners in two-thirds of families with children, yet still face a pay gap that adds up to thousands of dollars every year in lost income.

“We can count on Hillary to finally deliver equal pay for the women of North Carolina and women across our nation.”
