Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumReally DU? So now it's ok for DU to go homophobic?
Really?
To suggest that their is no reason for LGBT people to support HRC after her unfortunate Nancy Regan remarks is pathetic, ignorant and homophobic! LGBT people are not supporting Hillary because they feel that she will best carry out the "gay agenda", she is receiving the support because we believe that she is the best all around candidate for the job, including her flaws.
Never thought I live to see the day that I'd see this permitted on DU, it's beyond angering! Especially watching the OP antagonize other people into altering on the post, knowing that Sander's supporters will permit it to stand!

I noticed you posted that your kids are Bros. I am disappointed but they are young and you won't mind the free college and canceled loans.

(711 posts)when I decide to let GD-P think for me. lol I trust Hillary. One misspoken tweet does not erase a lifetime of support, not even close.
Don't worry, folks, I don't think she'll lose support over this.

(70,200 posts)to know what the truth is-but when it hits them in the face they run from it and demand a hide. Shameful for this to be happening on a Democratic discussion board. Discussion is shut down so often. Many are afraid to speak up for fear of being banned or remarks being hidden. It is not natural.

(10,237 posts)...so I think that my "sin" of loyalty to an actual Democrat would avoid a PPR, since I've usually be pretty positive and rarely, if ever, get into flame wars. I do, however, expect some hides because of the blind loyalty to he who must NOT be criticized, who is running to be the Goldwater/McGovern/Mondale of 2016. Remember, in 1988, Michael Dukakis led all Republicans in March, too. Sanders is WAY too thin skinned to ever be competitive in a national election against actual (not Vermont) Republicans/teabaggers!
PEACE!

But I'm grateful for good friends!

(711 posts)So, all Bernie supporters are suddenly LGBT activists? Who'd have thunk it.
I don't know if it's homophobic, but they are using gay issues to promote their own agenda. When she doesn't lose LGBT support over this, I'm sure we'll be under the bus, too.
NOTICE: Any folks who are not under the bus yet, are more than welcome to join us. I'll bring a picnic.

(14,531 posts)same thing with blacks and women who support Hillary. They are all over black issues. They are even nice enough to tell blacks what to think and how to act when it comes to voting. Women were the 1st under the bus and no one complained. If you vote for Hillary you are voting with your vagina. IOW too stupid to use your brain so you let your vagina think for you. Nothing like reducing a woman down to a body part to gain their support for you candidate.

(61,599 posts)I know that other minorities have this problem on DU too.
It's infuriating to have a bunch of privileged whiners tell me that I'm a terrible person for supporting Hillary. I told some of them to back off tonight. Will probably get a hide.
