Axelrod backtracks on Hillary criticism, says she was on "right side of history" on TARP vote.

Enraging as was the greed and connivery on Wall Street, the collapse of the financial system almost certainly would have ushered in a second Great Depression. Had GM and Chrysler not received support from TARP when they did, they likely would have folded before the Obama administration ever had a chance to meaningfully intervene.

Presidents are often faced with galling, imperfect choices, particularly in these times of deep polarization and divided government.

Hillary was on the right side of history with her vote, even if she crossed the line in her retelling of it. Bernie was wronged in the debate, but his vote raises questions about how a political "revolutionary" would deal with the realities of governing.

I should have made this point, as well.

The character of some arguments simply can't be captured in 140 characters.

Sanders' TARP vote indicates poor judgment, at best.

with Sanders--and Sanders only came up with the need for a political revolution. It was the segment of the interview where Tweety kept asking him about the 60 votes he would need to implement his policy. the media is ignoring this reality and lets sanders tell America the fantancies

it's as if they will magically appear because he says so. People who are paying attention know that as we have had that issue for the last 8 years. Unless down ballot races go Democratic, then nothing will happen I fear for either one. But Hillary will have an immense impact for those races, and she has contributed to those Democrats running.

...people dissect each and every sentence they speak or write, hoping and praying they'll be slightly ambiguous so they can be criticized on the "negative" aspect of what they said.

It happened in this case, and it happened on Friday with Clinton's comments about Nancy Reagan.

These people, Axelrod and Clinton and others, have proven to us the true meaning of what they say through their decades of positive actions.

And yet others seem to skate through life with nary a word of criticism and, if one dares, feels the wrath zealots.

That last sentence above says a lot about how people should look at many public figure's positions on issues:

"The character of some arguments simply can't be captured in 140 characters."
