Former President Bill Clinton visited several Chicago area African-American churches on this rainy Sunday, just days ahead of the Illinois primary. He was campaigning for his wife, Hillary saying she is a "change maker" who will move the country forward.
The former president was greeted by a cheering crowd at to the Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Maywood and he got right to work in stumping for Hillary. Clinton told the crowd it's easy to be angry, but they have to look toward the future together.
He quoted several times from the book of James, then encouraged everyone to go to the polls and vote next Tuesday.
Clinton also took some time to criticize Donald Trump who he says is part of the "blame crowd". Church-goers were thrilled to hear the former President speak and volunteers handed out "Hillary" signs as parishioners filed out.
Clinton concluded by saying as Secretary of State his wife was "loyal and effective" and as President, she'll build on the economic successes of President Obama.

(47,468 posts)We've heard that some universities, in South Africa and in Oxford, want to remove any mention of Cecil Rhodes. "The colonizer." So it won't surprise me if the Sanderistas will demand Bill "denounce" his Rhodes scholarship in Oxford.
Hey, anything is possible.
