I am not going to gloat

I am only going to say congratulations to Hillary for an outstanding performance last night. I am going to say congratulations to Senator Sanders for close races in MO and IL, for bringing many issues to light, for good and hearty debates without the nastiness like we see in the GOP, but mostly for being a good and decent human being. Going forward, it doesn't matter if Hillary takes 6 more states or all the states, or if Bernie takes 1 state or 15 states because each state we take as Democrats is a potential state we win in the GE no matter what region of the country it's in. Donald Trump is one of the most vile and despicable humans being in the Country and if elected in the GE, it would not surprise me to see him sworn in wearing a white sheet. His supporters, as we have seen lately, are no better than he is. Ted Cruz is just as vile and as far as I am concerned is not even eligible to be President of this Country. He is no less racist than Trump, just more subtle about it. Those of you who say you will never vote for Hillary in the GE were never going to vote for her anyway. I get it. Fortunately for Democrats, new polls show that left leaning Indies and smart thinking millennials will be happy to vote for her as will some Republicans who can't stomach the thought of a Trump presidency. I am not going to suggest that we unite because I really don't think that is going to happen here on DU. I have no problem with that. What Bernie supporters do from now on is up to them. It is time for Hillary supporters to unite against the GOP. From here on out, that is our only job. It is not our job to worry about what Bernie thinks of Hillary. It is not our job to worry about what Bernie's supporters think of Hillary. It is our job to get her elected in November. It is our job to make absolutely sure that Donald Trump does not get within 50 miles of the Oval Office. It may very well be our job to keep Democrats calm and on guard since Trump is encouraging his supporters to riot. It may well be our job to make sure that Trump's "brown shirts" don't come to fruition. It is the job of Hillary supporters to fight with everything we have to keep the White House, to get the Senate back, and to get some new House Seats. A Trump or Cruz presidency is unacceptable. March on!

or perhaps you have not been subjected to as much alert stalking, forced vacays and angry derisive comments. It was also not easy watching all the horrible smears repeatedly displayed with hundreds of recommendations.

Jurors (packed with Bernie supporters) going easy on vile posts - including that now infamous "brick" comments, hijacking of the DUzy awards and the utterly cruel hiding of Nance Greggs' heartfelt post in that regard.

How people with post counts of 3 or 7 were posting OPs with links like they had been here all along. Heck one guy with 2 posts had 5 hearts on valentine's day which means Bernie supporters knew whose sock it was but they let this person in to cause mischief anyway.

Schadenfreude feels good.

I'll not let the fear of being perceived as "gloating" put a damper on my happiness and celebrating Hillary's victories.

Yes, I get that it's "bad form" to overtly gloat and ridicule ... but, frankly, considering what Hillary and her supporters have had to put up with from the other side, I'm having a difficult time in feeling any sympathy.

For a very long time, we've had to buck-up and take-it-on-the-chin ... we've had to walk-on-eggs, parse our words, speak in code, or NOT speak at all ... we've been ridiculed, insulted, smeared, stalked, bullied and silenced. It's not too much to ask that we be allowed OUR MOMENT of celebration, OUR MOMENT in the sun.

They've shown themselves to be very tough and aggressive throughout ... I'm sure they can handle a day or two of Hillary supporters expressing their glee, happiness, delight and relief that we're nearing the end.

(In fairness, there are a few that are taking it in stride, and who have been very open about their disapproval of the Bernie supporters who have behaved badly. To those rare and honorable individuals I offer a handshake, a pat on the back, and congratulations for a hard-fought battle.)

Note to Jury: This post is my opinion only. It's not against the rules to have an opinion that differs from the Alerter's opinion. This post does not advocate "gloating". Instead, this post defends our well-deserved celebration. This post is in the Hillary Group. Nobody has been smeared or insulted in this post.
