We have a stand of woods right off the deck here. It's protected land for our HOA, so it will always be there...I need check out the maple trees. We have hemlock closest to our house, but I know there is maple in the mix too. They used to do some limited syrup production here waaaaaaay back! It would be cool to explore the process first hand.
