When Bernie endorses Hillary at the convetion and some of his supporters are still fighting

or voting for a 3rd party, then you know it's about their ego and them. It was never about Bernie nor the country nor the future. It was all about their need for ego gratification and their sense of entitlement.

. . . but I'm not really sure that Bernie will endorse Hillary. Or if he does, it will be a halfhearted 5-minute concession speech between California and the convention, and he'll stay home that week. If you'd asked me as recently as January I'd have said yes, of course he'll speak at the convention and endorse her. But he's really gone downhill in a number of ways since then.

The article he wrote was offensive on many levels and I resisted dwelling on it. The piece you linked helped explain my own reaction to me.

... of context re Bernie any more than they should do it re Hillary. The lead quote is disigenuous. Of course the article by Sanders wasn't endorsing this. Maybe we can critique his article, but not on today's terms. We should be better than this kind of attack.

Personally, I think/hope that the list of feminists who don't endorse Bernie are making their decision based on the broad set of reasons that Hillary is simply better than Bernie.

The lead quote is from Bernie's writing. He is now what he was then and he shows it every day.

It is not your prerogative to tell women what the criteria for judging him should be.

That's OK.

I personally am done with that. Not benefit of doubt anymore. Everyone has enough information on these boards. We explained the TRUMP is coming or the CRUZ. Most don't seem to give a rat's ass.

I don't care that he wrote that in his youth in whatever context. Find it telling.

Cheers!

I get the feeling he has become so full of himself that he can't see the forest for the trees. Just like many of his senatorial and congressional votes, if a bill didn't entirely encompass his values, even though 90% of the bill helped people and was in line with his ideology, he would vote against the bill. So based on that, and the fact that he thinks he is right while everyone else is wrong, there is a good chance he he will not endorse her. If so, he may find he'll have even fewer allies int the senate when he returns.

word he will and it will be on him to see if he is a man of his word. His ability of leadership may be challenged. Hillary came out and supported President Obama and has continued to support him. Without the ability of leadership then we will know we made the best decision. A lot of things can change between now and the GE, I have been hearing talk about republican women saying they can not support Trump and will be voting for Hillary.

never change and the Bernie campaign is full of them. Whether he will get past his ego trip and endorse her is questionable, but even if he does his rabid base will still be shouting conspiracy theories and how the election was "stolen" from him. The perfectly pure will feed their ego no matter how irrational their basis.

Sanders may endorse Clinton at the convention. I expect that he will.

I have no problem with Clinton or Sanders. I am not a partisan of either one. I plan to vote for either one.

I am not a Clinton hater; I am not a Sanders hater. Hate is a waste of my time and energy.

If the Democratic nominee wins, I expect a GOP HoR and, perhaps, a Democratic Senate.
Thus, gridlock.

The campaign will be nasty; vitriolic and full of invective.

When you realize that you will not win.
What do you do then?

I think that the winner should congratulate the loser for a game well played, and welcome the loser aboard.

The loser should graciously accept and join the team.
