Essential Politics: The numbers show California is coalescing behind Hillary Clinton

Essential Politics: The numbers show California is coalescing behind Hillary Clinton
By Christina BellantoniContact Reporter March 28

I'm Christina Bellantoni, and today’s Essential Politics gets your week started with a look at the big numbers in California.

59%

That’s the percentage of California’s vote Hillary Clinton held over both Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz in hypothetical match-ups posed by the USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll.

80%

The percentage of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ voters who told pollsters they would cast ballots for Clinton in November.

On another note, any poll in my mind that shows Sanders doing better in the general than Clinton would fails to consider that Sanders has not been vetted to the same level as Clinton.

Which is slightly different than being vetted. The GOP won't bother with truth, they'll take any facts and twist them to the most horrendous interpretation. HRC knows this well, after the GOP accused her of murdering her friend who committed suicide. Sanders really has no idea, and based on his reactions to persistent questioning (not only recently, but in VT too), he's not going to be able to keep his cool.

He's lucky he won't have to survive the GOP gauntlet - he'll be able to go back to the Senate with many of his supporters still liking him. If he miraculously end up as the nominee, he will be torn to shreds.

good news for Hillary. There are lots of delegates in California, though Hillary may have the required delegates by the time California has their primary, it wil lstill be important to have the votes from California.
