Hillary Clinton: Take dead aim against gun violence-HRC ROOM

Hillary Clinton

If you're a parent in Brownsville, Mott Haven or a handful of other New York neighborhoods, you live every day with the fear of gun violence harming your family. If you live in Manhattan, however, the city's as safe as it's ever been. As others have observed, life in New York can feel like a tale of two cities.

In 2012, the Daily News reported that just five of New York's 76 police precincts account for a quarter of all shootings. If you're reading this from one of the 71 other precincts, the epidemic of gun violence may feel like something from another world. In some zip codes, a full year can pass without a single murder being committed.

1. The gun violence issue seems to be getting buried

as campaigns are discussing Hillary's "Iraq vote" and her insinuated pay for play from Wall Street. In so many ways Sanders is manipulating the issues and the primary contest.

3. Sanders wants to push the IWR vote, in this bill it called for inspections for WMD's, Sanders voted

against the inspection, was that good judgement at the time, it was not known if there was still WMD's, there were there at one time and Saddam used some of them on his own people. The IWR was worded to put pressure on Saddam to allow the inspections, Bush jumped the gun and invaded without waiting for the inspections to be completed.

Sanders knows better, too, but he also knows his group of mostly young newbie voters don't know it. This is despicable. He went nuts when Hillary mentioned he voted against the auto bailout--yet it was true.

2. The gun issue is one of my pet peeves, the useless senseless killing of innocent people is not

needed. When people are getting killed in schools, churches, shopping centers, theaters it is a bridge too far. To nonchalantly pass off the gun violence in the USA and not realize the serious nature of this problem says there are other issues which will be passed over also.
