Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumJust remember. The flameouts we will get to watch when Hillary wraps this up.
It will make it all worthwhile. The ugly sexism. The double standards. The veiled racism against HRC supporters. All of it.

(27,801 posts)Frustrated by still having this battle. Here we have a chance to have a woman president, and people are so ingrained against women that they just can't have it!
I appreciate my sisters here, and especially the men who are not afraid of women and the sisterhood. You are probably fighting a lonelier battle than we are.

(42,862 posts)... making their dramatic exit. Some may just quietly disappear ... others will fall in line and will rally around Hillary with us ... but the worst of the worst won't be able to choose either of those options. They'll choose instead to go out in a blaze of glory.
And that's not just an idiom ... because it will indeed be glorious! I can't wait.

(71,265 posts)their hatred of Hillary. I continue to add more.

(42,862 posts)... my ignore list of Bernie fans is over 1200 (but I've been working on it for months). I'm pretty sure that at least a quarter of them were trolls that are no longer with us, but that I spotted right away and ignored quickly.
It's true that the more Sanders supporters you ignore the better your experience in GDP is.

(41,976 posts)I get in the heat of the moment posts, and a visceral need to defend ones candidate, and currently am not posting much and not uncoincidently don't use ignore.
*Now this means nothing to DU at large, because I'm not one to jump into the fray very often.
I don't care about the opinion of DU at large*
However, to maintain my sense of integrity and, after the primaries, the ones I've identified who are demonstrably sexist, racist, anti-semites, homophobic and bigots of any kind will go on ignore. Also, the ones seemingly addicted to drama, ridiculous conspiracy theories. (they and the many bigots are what inspired my sig line--I am left with WTF as a response far too often)
Also, the ones who are just assholes all the time--apparently can't help themselves, never saw a thread they didn't want to disrupt or be shitty to someone in, never started an OP without the intent to stab. Oh and the obvious trolls, although that can seem subjective depending on ones personal opinion of a given topic.
It is, or will be a great ignore list, still in the works. This is a large group of people, but not as large as you might think. Since I've been part of this community for so long I doubt I'll just leave--the only other option.
I used to have just three annoying people on ignore. Interestingly two are now gone.
I will be sooo glad when the primaries are over

(71,265 posts)I don't like doing it but I am getting sick of getting into it with them. I have been doing canvassing in my spare time. I did some today because I was off.
I am on DU less in the past week and I like it that way.

I hope that doesn't last too long, they'll run out of garments.

(5,477 posts)BS supports have driven me to near insanity. When you simply deny facts, it's like talking to a creationist, anti-vaxxer, or gw denialist. Today's absolute denial that it's people NOT corporations donating to Hillary's campaign is too much for me to take. Here's the thread I'm referring to:

I've just about had it with DU until the primary is wrapped up.

(2,100 posts)I've seen a few posts complaining about the gloating here when Hillary won big. Jeez, I wonder why that is? There are plenty of reasonable Bernie supporters here and I shall try my hardest to remember them when the day comes. No gloating from me, promise.

(1,630 posts)Every time I go over to GDP, I try to do a little clean up but often experience pure shock and awe at the disaster there. It looks like an embarrassing Republican owned hate site! I even feel sorry for the decent and legit Sanders supporters. Every effort to inject substance into the conversation is quickly buried under a deluge of garbage. It will be a huge relief when Bernie concedes and no doubt there will be much writhing and gnashing of teeth when he does. Death throes of a tantrum. No sympathy here for some of the more deliberately offensive.

(13,218 posts)That when they are being sexist (or even misogynistic) and you accuse them of that, they say, "Aha, playing the sexist card!" Or I like to put it, they play the "playing the sexist card" card. Every time.
