The insanity from the Sanders crowd is at fever pitch.
The smell of desperation is in the air:
and on and on and on. Get a net! Get a lot of nets!

12. Once Clinton Derangement Syndrome sets in, there is no cure
We'll get some peace here after the Convention, but as soon as the General Election is over, DU will become unbearable again.
That is, if a Democrat is elected. No Democrat will ever be good enough once they are actually elected, and that goes double for St Bernard. There is no human being who can actually bear the weight of that much unicorn-farting-rainbows psychological projection. If it's Hillary, the Clinton Derangement Syndrome will continue unabated. Now, if a Republican is elected the outlook will change: Highly ideological rigid Lefty DUers will be able to join hands with the pragmatic Liberal DUers, get drunk together, sing Kumbaya, swear to take back our country, and in general display the unity we experienced when Dubya was appointed to the presidency. Except that was 16 years ago and an awful lot of water has gone over the dam since then. And as I said, once CDS has set in.... >sigh< |

3. It's the last and final hurrah
and they know it. At worst, this will go into June--but I actually expect it to die back considerably by May 1 as Clinton grows her lead into "insurmountable" territory.
Keep in mind, the louder and more obnoxious they get, the more they alienate the undecideds and weak Bernie leaners. |

23. One of the silliest ones is the accent thing. They don't like Clinton's "southern accent".....
....claiming that its fake. They forget (or won't admit) that she lived in Arkansas for something like 20 years and has been married to a native Arkansan for more than 40 years.
But of course, not a peep about Sanders perhaps having a fake Brooklyn accent. After all, he hasn't lived in New York for 50 years and has been married to a woman who doesn't have even a slight tinge of a Brooklyn accent. So, how about that "fake" Brooklyn accent of Bernie's? Do we hear anything about that from either Clinton supporters or Sanders fans? |

28. Occasionally it sneaks out, but for the most part yes, it's more of a mid-western (Chicago)...
....accent, which is slightly different than the rest of the MW.
Back about 40+ years ago I worked hard to get rid of my Brooklyn accent, even when I was still in NY. For the most part it's gone, but my wife says that when I have a beer or two, it sneaks out. But I'm certainly not trying to impress anyone, just like I'm sure when Clinton's sneaks out she's not doing it to impress anyone or win votes. Bottom line - who really cares except "them"? |

34. Even if you move around a lot, old accents come and go.
In a way, it's like knowing several languages. Each accent indicates a different dialect.
All accents are beautiful in their own way, as far as I am concerned. Finger pointing is another thing altogether. My mother used to say, "Don't point that thing unless you intend to use it." Sanders has a sort of second-amendment finger, as it were. |

35. My accent also changes. It's a sign of a good ear, IMO.
I grew up on Long Island and almost never speak with a LI'er accent.
People never can tell where I'm from cause I speak clearly w/ no accent. BUT- when I'm with a bunch of people who have really pronounced LI accents I can occasionally find myself doing it too. And if I listen to a bunch of HGTV shows from Canada I'll even unintentionally pick up a little of that for a second. So there's someone like me, who tends to pick up on stuff and maybe even blend in a little and then there are people who move to the USA from somewhere, live here for decades and still speak with a thick foreign accent. Or people move out of a region with a thick accent and never lose it/ |
