Copa América Centenario: Colombia Players Have Cumbia Dance-Off [VIDEO]

Copa América Centenario: Colombia Players Have Cumbia Dance-Off [VIDEO]

The Colombian team had a great run at the 2014 World Cup and celebrated their goals with a little coordinated dance back then. Now the team is going strong after beating Peru in a round of penalties 4-2 and moving on to the semifinals of the Copa América Centenario.

But, before their winning quarterfinals game, superstar soccer players, including Carlos Sánchez, Frank Fabra, James Rodríguez, Marlos Moreno, Juan Cuadrado and Yerry Mina had a little bit of a cumbia dance-off in their locker room.

Rodriguez, who is known for being very shy, doesn’t usually say much during interviews or press conferences, because as a child he suffered from a heavy stutter, is clearly most comfortable when playing soccer, and by the look of it, while dancing.

The dance also appeared to bring luck to the players who were unable to score during the game, but managed to score four penalties, which Peru didn’t, allowing them to move forward to the semifinals.

Unfortunate, because young James is quite pleasing to look at.

That second save made by the Colombian keeper, kicking it out with his foot while having dived too far to the left to catch it with his hands, was impressive as hell.

And gained a goalie as a brother-in-law.

There's a story you won't see every day.
