(39,909 posts)You have been a fount of knowledge about Latin America.
precious little is covered by our Media here in the USA, and what does get covered is
propaganda whose sole purpose is to make the USA and our bloody interventions look "humanitarian".
If only. PEACE might Break Out if the USA would leave them alone, but I fear there will always be strife (war) between the greedy RICH sociopaths and the rest of the World as long as we have Greedy RICH sociopaths.
When the Working Class and The Poor realize WE have more in common with each other than we have in common with the 1% and their employees in Washington,
THEN we can have change.

(160,515 posts)They gladly take the off-ramp from reality when they buy all these planned hijacks of their brains. No doubt those in charge of framing the perception molding laugh their heads off at times, wondering if the human race will buy even one more of these whoppers.
Most of them are so caught up in themselves they don't want to look for the truth, or even give a damn.
The old "divide and conquer" routine has been in play forever.
It's going to change, in time, isn't it? We do have that expression to remember, "You can't fool all of the people all of the time." I think we'll see that proven in our lifetimes!
Don't forget Bush's better expression, "It means you can't get fooled."
