Mexico Leftist Presidential Hopeful Wants 'National Emergency Plan' to Fight Trump

Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador wants to build cross-border unity and convert Mexican consulates in the U.S. into safety hubs in defense of immigrants.
Mexican presidential candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador bashed United States President Donald Trump on Friday for launching new attacks against those he considers foreigners during his inaugural address, making reference to Mexicans living in the United States.
Obrador, representing the democratic socialist MORENA party in the countrys 2018 general election, also slammed Trumps proposed trade policies with Mexico.
Enough of being passive, Obrador said in a statement. We should put a national emergency plan in place to face the damage and reverse the protectionist policies of Donald Trump.
