North East Mexico is such a weird place

It has a bread called semitas (semites). It has pastries called turcos (Turks). There is a town called China. There is a town called Los Ramones. It has a game called quita y pon (dreidel). It has a game called changai (Shanghai).

in Mexico and went north to what became NewMexico were actually a contingent of Jews who had been forced renounce Judaism and convert to Catholicism.
