Cuban aircraft crashes in Havana
Cubana de Aviación plane crashed when taking off from Havana (Photos)May 18, 2018 1:14 pm
The Boeing 737 airplane of Cubana de Aviación fell this Friday afternoon after taking off at the José Martí International Airport in Havana. The ship caught fire on the airstrip.
Although no official information on the number of victims is known so far, twitter reports indicate that the plane had about 104 passengers on board.
The plane fell shortly after taking off from the runway. Firefighters try to control the fire at this time. It is unknown if there are victims.
According to twitter reports, the plane was heading to the city of Holguín.
In the vicinity of the José Martí airport there is an intense column of smoke and many firefighters, police and medical assistance are in the area, reports the EFE agency.
