The main suspects for the "Day of the Fire," which occurred on August 10 and 11, are farmers, loggers, and businessmen, according to investigations by the Civil and Federal Police to which Repórter Brasil had access.

Also, according to police, those responsible held a "crowdfunding campaign" to pay the costs of fuel - a mixture of diesel oil and gasoline - used to spread the flames. In addition, they hired bikers to enter dirt roads near the forest by spreading the flammable liquid.

Following the coordinated burning of pasture and deforestation, the city of Novo Progresso, Pará, experienced a 300% increase in outbreaks in those two days.

One of the first suspects heard by the Civil Police is Agamemnon Menezes, president of the Union of Rural Producers of the city and target of search and seizure operation of the Federal Police on Tuesday (22).

to use for their own profit.

Bolsonaro announced during his campaign that he intended to drive the forest dwellers out of their own land, and his intention was always that loggers and farmers and mining operations could level the Amazon, and make profitable businesses where the forest and the live giving flora and fauna created what has always been viewed as the "Lungs of the World" since it was understood the vital service the Amazon has rendered in making the planet habitable for life.

The greedy privileged class probably doesn't care slightly what happens to the world after they die, and they want to use it up as much as they can before they hope to drift away to hell in their sleep painlessly and without knowing they are biting the big one. They undoubtedly believe there will always be someone around to "fix" things they destroy, as it has happened throughout their lives, and don't really care, anyway.

"Sad" doesn't begin to cover their barbaric attitude toward others of all ages, colors, and all life forms.
