There are many different types of rape and "date rape" AKA acquaintance rape just differentiates that type from others. All rape is evil and reprehensible.

Rape is often referred to as sexual assault, which is a term that is more inclusive than rape. If anything that minimizes rape, but I haven't heard of anyone complaining about that.

Thank you for such a respectful discussion. This difficult issue becomes so emotional that practical discussions get sidetracked, and achieving insightful conclusions are disrupted. I generally evade these talks.

B-but I thought that since men commit rape, it is up to stop it? I thought we were supposed to talk about it?

Oh, I guess it's really not true. We are only here to be foils.

Despite every data set and every authoritative opinion which states the exact opposite. I have yet to see any of their frequent posters challenge that BS. I guess RAINN isn't good enough for them. Go figure.

But look at it this way. Radfem 'theory' is that more porn = more rape. When those two things are inversely proportional there must be something wrong with the theory. Perhaps it's just easier to deny the obvious than to admit Dworkin et al were flat wrong.

You're not supposed to talk about anything.

There are clearly people here who desperately want control over who posts.

If I'm not interested in certain groups I stay out of them, but I believe they have the same right as all the other groups to exist.

Reminds me of this scene from The Breakfast Club:

I think they'd like this group to be "How fucking awful are we?", and it's not, and that's a problem. Hence, making up bullshit about MRA and claiming things were said and written that never were.

But Date Rape...is well.. you built a trust factor up here, taking a lady out for what she thinks is going to be a nice evening.

So you've breach that trust and raped her too.

Just my opinion mind you.
