Good riddance!

to the old traditional idea that it's solely a father's job to work his life away and die an early death away from family and the children he has sired or adopted or raised as his own.

Bravo to the feminist movement for trying to get woman the freedom and equality that will allow them to pick up the slack.

for that very reason. I don't have the personality to carve out a spectacular business career. So we shared the provider side and the domestic side right down the middle, to the benefit of all. It's been a great life

A backhanded insult is.. well just an insult DUH

On the Ironic side of things, my exwife who owns half her dad's business WANTED to be a stay-at-home mother, sadly biological and economic realities had other ideas...

but it seems like if we HAD the chance for her to stay at home she would have been attacked by the current wave of frothing at the mouth feminists (not to be confused with the 99% or 'normal' feminists)

People... CHOICE means being able to CHOOSE something YOU don't like, but the CHOOSER does. that's the beauty of the system. That's the wonderful part of freedom. not all choices are universally liked, but that's free choice.

I can say "my butt itches" and some people will be crunching the cabalistic significance of the letters involved to attempt to parse out the camouflaged insult or hidden meaning.

men and women equally have the choice (both socially and financially) on what they want to do.

My husband has been the primary caretaker to our children for 17 years. We just had twin boys 9 months ago and he is still the primary caretaker. And he's pretty awesome at it, thank you very much. I just made more more than him, so he started staying home with them.

And then a bunch of jerks on DU think he's an MRA now because he disagrees with them.. pffttt whatever.

24. And that only a mother can change diapers...

I'm a field tech so I see a LOT of places (wal-marts especially lately) and one thing my feminist heart is glad to see is that in the large stalls, and most MEN'S rooms now, they have a place to change diapers, and sit (and buckle) kids, so that a single dad can BE a dad and look after his kids.

My chance to be a parent in a loving relationship has long since passed, but im really glad to see that attitudes are changing, however slowly, about met being able to take care of their own damned kids, alone, and that we don't NEED a woman to do that for us.

LOL who ever thought being 'allowed to change dirty diapers' would be considered a step in the right direction for equal right eh?
