1. I have two girls and I've had random strange women come up to me and give me unsolicited "advice".

There's a perception out there that fathers are complete morons who can't change a diaper, can't feed a baby, can't play properly with children, can't do anything unless a "mother" is present and supervising.

3. My kids are all boys, about whom bystanders worry less.

So I experienced it less than fathers of daughters do, but I got the stink eye many times waiting outside my son's kindergarten classroom.
School admins give special attention to dad's background check forms. They made it very clear that I couldn't volunteer until they had one on file for me (each year). My wife? "Oh yeah, I suppose we need one from you too."

2. My parents are old enough to be my grandparents

Other than a number of teachers jumping to some assumptions about something tragic having happened most of the issues were confined to international travel and being held up at customs by immigration officers both in the US and abroad (Vancouver was particularly bad) who suspected an abduction.

By the time I was thirteen or fourteen I just started going through customs by myself.
