knew someone that was a higher up in Chase that was thrown under the bus by Dimon so he didn't go to jail. And, from what I heard (which is all hearsay of course) Dimon is the worst of the worst of all of the Wall Street scumbags and belongs in prison for life.

After the dust settled, they asked the person to return to the job. Obviously the person said no. But, that just goes to show the mentality of if you take one for the team so the big boys get out of trouble, they will take care of you. It is disgusting.

i worked for a while at smith barney. i got the formal orientation several months(!) after i started, and it included a video of sandy weill saying, among other things, that he "believes in nepotism" -- hire people you know and trust --

anyway, weill's merger of traveler's and citigroup was basically what killed glass-steagall, in practice albeit not formally.
the mega-merger and the breakdown of glass-steagall were two of the several significant factors in the financial crisis.

Instead of hand wringing about the destruction of our national institutions and trust, Jaimie could start today by trying to save the Repub theft and pollution of SCOTUS in concert w a President under FBI investigation.
