He wants to run for Senator next and he will not want on his resume that a teachers' union bested him.

It's never about the kids. It's about their career . . . .

Otherwise he's got as much chance as the dude in pinstripes w. the dead possum on his head.

Chicago: I love ya. But.... you sure know how to pick 'em.

Mother o' god.

Rahm Emmanuel leave Obama's staff. He was the DLC's enforcer in the Clinton Administration, and was way too business friendly for my taste - my sense is that without his influence it frees Obama to move more to the left, though the Monsanto appointment last week was a disappointment.

That Chicago was saddled with Emmanuel was unfortunate, however. This would be a good chance for the Dems to show that they are in sympathy with education and labor, but I suspect Rahm's ego will get in the way.

Administrators are a huge part of the problem. They're paid too much, and there are too many of them. The Chicago Schools could treat their teachers decently if it weren't for all those administrators getting in the way -- and it's a problem everywhere.

Administrators are the problem. They bully teachers. They help state governments try to break our unions. They teach no one.

It's time to fight back. This petition to Congress explains itself. Please read it. If you agree, please sign it, and then please spread it to others.

Will this solve all of America's school problems?

No, but it's a good place to start.
