Union members make the union

True to life example:

I work nonunion next to union RN's. The hospital I work for does as they please in most situations. 99% of the union members look away, or are too afraid to say anything about what they see going on. Unsafe staffing, etc.

The major complaint I hear from union members on why they don't confront the issues is:

1) get in trouble with the boss

2) get fired

3) be demoted

4) it will make me look bad to others
