English Lit

What do you think about the cannon of English literature? So much of it is written by white males. What do you think about that? Do you think it affects the way students are learning?

1. No, not much. Its not like "new math", language can be taught a lot of ways

but I doubt white males make much of a difference over the long term.

Btw, did you mean "canon"? Cannon made me visualize a pirate ship shooting text books across the bow of a prize ship.

Remember, always be yourself, unless you can be a pirate.

2. My lowest, yet proudest grades was in English Lit

My first grade was a D...the teacher explained what was expected and my final grade was a B-

I learned how to read what the story was about, instead of just reading the story.

Ever since I critic each story. What a great experience!
