I'm a little confused about all the fuss. She did GREAT.

Notwithstanding the surprise-attack, adversarial tone of the interviewer. The feisty Ravitch ( surprise !) is at her best when counterpunching.

Who knew.

Afterthought: Shheeezzzz: they really have a lot invested ( emotionally AND financially) in the US "schools are failing" meme.

Challenge the premise with facts and logic and you can feel the panic; followed by furious obfuscation, and mad-dash subject changes.

Verdict: a mismatch. But a joy to watch.

Very poised. It's sad that the nasties get the softball questions and the good guys get "teh serious journalism" (lol) but it gave Diane a great stage to refute all the wrong-headed memes. I'm so glad she's on our side!

Disappointing that they are attempting to present her in a negative light, but not surprising. And she is more than capable of delivering the necessary smackdown.
