and the Nordic countries. But then again, they treat teachers well, and expect them to have advanced degrees. The early years are spent teaching the kids social skills like sharing, responsibility, socializing. Reading is an after thought-and this is the foundation for a country that has one of the highest literacy rates in the world.

we're drowned out by tptb talking about needing solutions that are "uniquely american." Code for, we don't care how much better anyone else does it, we're going to stick to our policies that benefit the minority at the expense of the majority.
