Fortunately not every school in the country plays teach for the test.

Third graders are finishing their unit on electricity. The first challenge was to create a motor driven "kick stick" to move a ping pong ball. Now they are combining the kick stick with the game box to create a "hit the target" game. Their game must include some target that activates a buzzer when pressed to announce the player of the game has scored. This project combines their science content knowledge of circuits, conductors and insulators with the engineering for a "real world" application.
