Elon Musk thinks Rex Tillerson (and presumably the Trump administration) supports a carbon tax?

Rex Tillerson supports a carbon tax. This is what is really needed to move the needle.

Do you have any clue how fucked we are if someone of Musk's intellect can actually believe the narrative that somehow the Trump administration is going to work toward fixing the climate problem?

Musk is a venture capitalist who is depending on the US to continue to move toward a sustainable (carbon free) future. And. He thinks that this is a possibility.

Tell you what. Bookmark this page and in one year we'll revisit it, actually, let's revist on the day of Trump's first SOTU, if he's still in office (so a little less than a year from now, Jan 20). And we'll see what happens.

Trump is going to delay sustainability if not set it back by completely gutting the programs that will foster it.

to do the right thing, I am glad he is doing that ONLY so when they do NOT do the right thing he can point to this and say he tried to give them credit but they dont deserve it.

Coming out "in favor" of a carbon tax as he has is a cheap and easy way to look "reasonable", since a carbon tax has about as much chance of passing Congress as I have of walking on water.

It's a bullshit phrase so that Wise People on Tee-Vee can stroke their chins and nod knowingly.
