Nordex lands 820 MW of orders in US

German wind turbine maker Nordex (ETR:NDX1) today said it ended 2017 on a high note in the US with three orders totalling 820 MW secured in December.

The orders have been placed by two unnamed large international utilities, regular customers of the manufacturer, and will see Nordex supply a total of 263 turbines for three US wind farms. The German company will start delivering the turbines in the summer of 2018.

One of the customers has ordered 196 turbines of the AW125/3150 model that will be installed at two projects, one of 319 MW and another of 300 MW.

For the third wind farm, which will be built in Texas, Nordex will provide 67 AW125/3000 turbines. The company said it worked with this customer on a comparable project completed in 2017.
