Ice extent may have made the turn yesterday

12 Sep is the average lowest day according to NSIDC so it would be right on schedule. It still could drop but the 11th it was 4.625 million sq km, 8th lowest in the satellite record and 10,000 sq km below last year. Yesterday it was at 4.639 million sq km.
