But I don't know where the salt would come from. I live 60 miles inland from the Gulf and Atlantic. I used window cleaner on the picture window months ago, but we have had oodles of rain since then.

But, your guess is as good as any that I can gather. It was trully a strange sight that I have never seen before.

It likes the concrete to get minerals, especially during the Fall. I was amazed to find information, but it apparently a common occurrence. Some people put out salt licks for squirrels and other animals.
