So How's the Australian Open Going? Some Tweets.

The Australian Open hasn't even officially started yet, and here we are:














Not to be overly dramatic, but in terms of lung destruction, all it actually takes is inhaling the wrong particle. Even well conditioned athletes shouldn't be competing in this air.

This could become the new normal: Every year, trying to host the Australian Open, then cancelling it due to poor air quality and collapsing athletes.

Storms in America's midwest now just park over areas for days on end flooding
the farm fields so they can't be planted.

Jakupovic said it was "not fair" that officials asked players to take the court in those conditions.
"It's not healthy for us. I was surprised, I thought we would not be playing today but we don't have much choice," she said.
It comes amid concerns over the air quality in Melbourne, with organisers earlier postponing the start of play by an hour, after the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) rated conditions as hazardous.

I can't believe they expect the athletes to compete in these conditions. It should be moved or canceled. I know that really messes up the year's tennis schedule, but these conditions should have been realized weeks ago. The players' health has to come first, not the money.
