A 1.13 ppm increase is the 46th worst out of 64 monthly February average readings increases recorded at Mauna Loa.

This compares to increases 2.53 for February 2022 over 2021, and 2.64 for February 2021 over February 2020. The worst was February 2016, 3.76 ppm

I suspect that this is a function of the very warm Northern Hemisphere winter and the low demand for heating.

It more than offset the German switch from nuclear to gas to coal.

Of course, there may be a huge demand for electricity this summer for air conditioning as wet bulb temperatures scrape fatal levels, as surely they will in many places on this planet, even in places like Canada.
