TX, 5 Other States Join New Anti-Regulatory Regulatory Association For "Air Quality"
Texas, which has battled the Obama administration over pollution rules and global warming, is a key organizer of a new group of states focusing on clean air from a different perspective.
Texas and five other states already have left a long-established association of state and local environmental agencies that strongly supports positions that Texas strongly opposes — from new clean-air limits on industries to regulating greenhouse gases.
Eleven other states that have not severed ties with the old association have nonetheless joined the six defectors to form the new alternative group, one that seems less likely to advocate aggressive federal action.

Rubenstein said the EPA’s process and doubts about its pollution modeling — or computer simulations — were major problems. If the new group had existed then, giving the states’ full input in advance, the rule might have succeeded, he said. Some Texas statements opposing the cross-state rule, however, have pointed toward ideology rather than science. “#EPA overlords suffer another defeat to #Texas,” Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott tweeted when the court ruled in August. “The power to regulate is the power to destroy.”

Air in Texas stops moving at the Texas border. The water in rivers starts flowing into Texas at the borders. So why on earth would environmental protections be a Federal issue? Huh, you smarty pants, big government liberals... answer me that!
