Hillary Clinton Rallies Support for Mary Landrieu, The Top Keystone Pipeline Proponent
"Environmentally minded donors and voters are likely to hold greater sway among Democrats in the 2016 presidential election than they did when Clinton ran and lost in 2008. Her refusal to take a stand on Keystone has disappointed some of the loudest and richest environmental activists who view the project as a test of a candidates environmental bona fides."
Who is far RW, endorsed by Ted Cruz and is very much for the KXL. Some here are advocating for the defeat of a Democrat in favor for a TP member. How dies this help your environmental issues. Don't start crying when the bill gets passed and you have been successful in electing a hard RW who is really foe KXL.
all in direction of the Wall Street Democrats. Get use to it,have been waiting for this move by the Clinton camp. Oil,Wal-Mart,big Ag,yes,we will throw a little red meat to the minions and a little puppet show from time to time to keep the noise down. Let see,we have a two party system, far Right Wing Rethugs and a Ringt leaning Wall Street run so called libruals. Yah,that's the ticket. Still say Schumer wants the V.P.spot.
This is the real deal. Whoever wins is in until 2020. Mary votes with Democratic Senate 80 percent? Republican votes with Democratic Senate? Zero! So she is for big oil. Are we a one issue party?
... and the "issue" is pro-corporate profit at ANY cost.
> Mary votes with Democratic Senate 80 percent?
Suspect the 80:20 rule applies here too - 80 pro votes for political trivia vs 20 con votes for important issues?
(No, I haven't investigated her precise voting record over her career of seat-warming in the Senate so
am not interested in bickering over which few of the real progressive/liberal issues she has actually supported at
one time vs her day-to-day behaviour.)
Nice to see that the jungle drums summoned the usual cheerleaders on this subject too.
Fuck the planet, just maximise personal gain and whinge about people who aren't in lock-step
with the party apparatchiks.
Democrats can afford to lose another senator in Congress.
Sure will not support any environmental issues, this should not be happening, just more Republicans who will push for more SC positions than they currently have. Don't keep up the bad work.
This place has become ridiculous. They treat the Clintons as the enemy. Instead of trashing them so much, they should worry more about their choices for 2016. Some of their favorites couldn't win a general election, let alone in this climate. Democrats took a beating in the midterms. I don't see the mood of the country improving much in the next two years. The economy is still sluggish and jobs are still lagging. A lot of the jobs available are either part time or temporary positions. Many people have not been able to find an equivalent job to what they had before the economy took a dive. Positions paying decent wages and with benefits are getting harder to find.
