1. Liar: "I have worked in the oil industry for many years, I'd never heard of Peak Oil" (2005)

Lars Schall: Mr Hirsch, in 2005 you were given the task to come up with a report related to Peak Oil. How did this came about?

Robert Hirsch: It came about because I did an analysis to look at the big problems that energy research and development should look into in the future, and I came across something called Peak Oil. Even though I have worked in the oil industry for many years, I'd never heard of Peak Oil. I started to dig deeper and deeper into it, and the deeper I got the more difficult and dangerous the concept was.

3. Maybe he was just clueless, or an asshole, or a shill with his head in the sand.

Because the term has been around longer than I have, since the 1950's, so the man has no business having a voice in the discussion.

So my guess is he didn't either.

We could post this article in every paper across the country and millions of Americans would still be ignorant about the term peak oil.

Let me guess, you're in denial about peak oil.

I don't know why you would guess that I'm in denial, especially as I've devoted my life to teaching teachers that we need to be free of fossil fuel dependency and sit on a number of boards and committees all related to alternative energy on state and national basis and I just commissioned my first large 500 MW solar PV system, at a cost under $5/watt.

Yeah, I'm in denial, sure, got it.

Available here: http://oilposter.org/ I have multiple copies of this poster in my offices:

My picture below is a joke I created, maybe that gave you the wrong impression:

So I'm thinking you're nothing more than a troll who like to kill the messenger but says nothing about the message.
