Vegan eggnog?

Last edited Thu Nov 29, 2012, 01:39 AM - Edit history (1)

I haven't had eggnog in years, but I have a dim recollection of liking it.

I have sourced a local, ethical producer of eggs, so I might make it myself, with eggs.

But are there any vegan alternative recipes? I've seen some via Google, but always like to have DU recommendations...

1. A lot of the flavor is vanilla and sugar; various spice alternatives exist, like

nutmeg, ginger, or cinnamon, but they're all vegan, too

So I guess your question is for vegan alternatives to the milk and eggs

We bought some for the first time yesterday and I haven't tried it yet. I like Silk's other products so I hope we'll like this one too.

4. Silk makes a soy based nog, So Delicious makes one based on coconut milk.

I am not fond of nog in any form, but I've fed both to omnis who dig nog, and they liked them.

edit: Both are easy to find at regular grocery stores, at least out here.

you've sourced a local, ethical producer of eggs.

Congrats, that's a big step.
