Only 25 minutes from the verdict to a summary conviction

North Korea defectors are severely punished when caught. They are given summary conviction and executed in public. Before the public execution, the defectors are tied to a wooden pole that has a North Korean flag on top of it. They are beaten until they are half-dead. Their eyes are covered and a gaga are put on their mouth. Three soldiers are ordered to shoot 3 rounds of bullets to the defectors when their superiors shout, “in the name of the people shoot at the reactionaries.” The defectors are therefore shot 9 times. After they are executed, the executioners remind the other prisoners that if theyp try to escape, they will face the same fate. It’s told that it only takes 25 minutes from the verdict to the summary conviction. There is no lawyer nor is there a closing arguments. The fate of the defectors only depend on the words of the judge.
