After violent G20-protests, Germany's extreme left is in deep shit.

- riots
- pillaging
- arson
- wanton destruction
- shooting metal-balls at riot-police with sling-shots
- clubbing riot-police with iron bars
- throwing Molotov-cocktails at riot-police
- attacking riot-police from roofs
- throwing pavement-plates at riot-police from roofs
- attacking riot-police in prepared ambushes
- blocking the movement of police-cars
- ...

But if you ask left-wing politicians in Germany, the violence is the fault of the police.
"Why wouldn't the police deescalate???"
"Why wouldn't the police do more to separate peaceful protesters from the rioters standing right next to them???"

One german far-left politician accused the police and Hamburg citiy-council of deliberately provoking the violence.

Yeah, sure. The rioters came armed and with elaborate tactics how to combat the police, but it's the fault of the police that the violence began.

The leaders of the far-left (and illegal) community-center "Rote Flora" welcomed and housed left-wing extremists from all over Europe. The police is currently investigating whether the "Rote Flora" was used as a coordination hub for the rioters.

Do you want to know what their comment was when Hamburg burned?
They lamented that the protesters burned a middle-class district down, and not an upper-class district.
To repeat: Faced with looting, arson and street-warfare, the lawyer of the "Rote Flora" said in an interview that the wrong district was destroyed.

Germany has a long tradition of left-wing policies and a long tradition of ignoring far-left violence while bashing far-right violence.
A german politician asked the question: "Suppose it had been Neo-Nazis destroying Hamburg, what would our reaction have been?"

There are strong calls to clean up the left-wing scene. There are multiple buildings anarchistic left-wing squatters have taken over in Germany. They are considered a part of city-life and german culture. Or at least they were. Politicians from multiple parties have called for police to dissolve those projects and to violently evict the squatters.

Even comparisons to terrorism have been made: A comparison that Germany should be lucky that the far-left is centrally organized. They might as well be decentralized like islamic terror-cells.

...groups are not the problem....Extremism in general, regardless of its ideology and motivation is the problem. Furthermore, the German police are not trained in the kind of peacekeeping and crowd control that they were expected to conduct. They were given a 6 week crash course training in outfits that they were ending up suffering from heat stroke in and were not properly being led by their command on what to do. Honestly, having been in Hamburg and seeing what happened, I will fully agree that the Police and the tactics being implemented actually inflamed the situation. Any military commanding officer who has spent any time in Iraq outside of the various "zone"s could have told them that they will just have issues outside the zones.

But the real blame? The idiot fucks who call themselves leadership and the mayor of Hamburg (who to quote said "Hamburgers won't even notice the G20".....

Oh....they noticed alright...and they won't forget....

And to Angela Merkel and any idiot that thought that holding the G20 in Hamburg last week or any other in the future in a major populated urban city is acceptable and expects it to be where "no one will notice"....

Holding an event like that is like putting dung and cowshit out and being shocked when flies appear. If you hold an event like that, the anarchists, chaotic, nihilists, whatever the hell you want to call them, will appear.

But calling them the left is no different of a tactic in my opinion that the Repukes in the US trying to label democrats as "liberals" and making it a bad word and associating any negative extremism as being part of the agenda of democrats or the "left"...

But my district feeling remains they are , at essence, violent pagans about one generation away from tying virgins to the tannenbaum for human sacrifice.

Yes, racist. Yes, I am a Jewish guy who left Europe rather rapidly as a kid. And yes I was an MP in occupied Germany bc I spoke German as a native. So I am biased as one can be. But I stand by my opinion they are weird people.
