The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have identified two alleged Chinese police stations in Quebec and are investigating them, RCMP confirmed in a statement to ABC News Friday.
The two alleged stations are in Montreal and Brossard, RCMP Sergeant Charles Poirier said.
"The RCMP recognizes that Canadians of Chinese origin have been victims of the possible activities conducted by these centres," Poirier said. "These activities and any other form of intimidation, harassment or harmful targeting of diaspora communities or individuals in Canada will not be tolerated."
Because the investigation is ongoing, RCMP could not offer further details on the situation, Poirier said.

(111,906 posts)I wonder if this is somehow related to the election rigging probe (by China) that Trudeau has ordered to be investigated?

(118,462 posts)elsewhere in Canada a few months ago. It is all likely part of the same story. We will soon have forced registration of people acting on behalf of a foreign government in Canada. US has that already.

(111,906 posts)and similar reports in the US (I received a spam call this week indicating press "1" for English and "2" for Chinese). I also know that the Chinese consulate in Houston was also making spam calls with spoofed numbers (I had to block the entire 713 area code because they were so numerous).
Unfortunately, the investigation is casting a poor light upon Trudeau since the Chinese were manipulating the election in favor of the Liberal Party. Hopefully the forced registration of the influencers will alleviate the situation.
