Netanyahu is ‘the leader of the Jewish world,’ says top aide

http://www.timesofisrael.com/netanyahu-is-leader-of-the-jewish-world-says-top-aide/

“When he entered the meeting, the secretary-general said to the prime minister, ‘I heard that two Israelis died.’ The prime minister looked him straight in the eye and said: ‘They were two parents. And they didn’t die; they were killed.’ From that moment, the meeting took on a different turn,” Groner said.

Ban had planned to talk about the Palestinian plight, but Netanyahu managed to have the conversation focus on Israel and its security challenges, he indicated.

“I wish that every Jew in the world would have been in that room” to witness the eloquence with which the “leader of the Jewish people – the prime minister is, by design, the leader of the Jewish world” – spoke out on their behalf, Groner said.

So, is he King of the Jews or Pope of the Jews?

Very humble government there.

Apparently he wants all Jews to be blamed for his policies.

1. It's heartwarming to know that, at a time of tragedy, it's always about King Bibi.

The "King of the Jews" has already been taken, and "Pope" is just too Catholic for NetanBooBoo methinks.

Naftali Bennet?

Yehuda Glick?

Israel is in for a rough road if Zionism becomes synonymous with dystopian, unapologetic, right wing brute-force colonialism.

Those are called weasel words.

Weasel word

A 2009 study of Wikipedia found that most weasel words in it could be divided into three categories:[14]

Numerically vague expressions (e.g. "some people", "experts", "many&quot
Use of the passive voice to avoid specifying an authority (e.g. "it is said&quot
Adverbs that weaken (e.g. "often", "probably&quot

you should listen.

Being obstinate and not letting him say his piece is stupid and not very helpful at all. I guess Ban has met a few dysfunctional people in his days, but I bet Netanyahu is definitely in his top ten on that list.

It is always interesting with politicians to think in terms of what they are fending off with their little speeches.

The US Government has spent the last several decades babbling on about how it is indispensible instead of actually making itself indispensible. And that tells you what they are worried about.
