Israel Punitively Demolishes Homes of Palestinians suspected in Attacks against Israelis

JERUSALEM, October 6, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Tuesday demolished – in a punitive measure – the family homes of three Palestinians and sealed off another with cement in Jerusalem, for their involvement in attacks against Israelis, according to local sources.

The four homes belong to the families of four Palestinians killed by Israel after they were believed to be involved in attacks against Israeli targets.

At midnight, staff from Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem accompanied by a police force condoned off Jabal al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem before detonating and demolishing the homes of Ghassan and Udai Abu-Jamal, two cousins involved in the attack on a synagogue in Jerusalem in November 2014.

Forces also demolished the house of Mohammad Ja’abis, also believed to have been involved in an alleged excavator attack against Israelis in Jerusalem.

On the morning of 18 November 2014, two Palestinian men from Jerusalem entered Kehilat Bnei Torah synagogue, in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem, Israel, and attacked the praying congregants with axes, knives, and a gun. They killed four dual-nationality worshippers, and critically wounded a responding Druze Israeli police officer, who later died of his wounds.

That's the attack referenced in case people don't recall.

Neither is representative of either movement, in spite of support among the right wing of both communities for such actions.

As you stated.

"The demolition policy is barbaric There is no rationale for such a policy."

As we all know punitive demolitions is a policy designed by the state of Israel.

And with that alone it can be reasoned that since Palestinians who commit egregious "terrorists" crimes, by the "barbaric" <---your words state of Israel, see their homes destroyed whereas Israeli Jews who do the same are not victims of the same "barbaric" act.

It is not Israeli Zionism any more than suicide bombing is Palestinian nationalism Neither is representative of either movement, in spite of support among the right wing of both communities for such actions.

And here's the shriveled nugget of your fallacy. A terrorist attack, carried out by individuals, is not the same as a "barbaric"<---your words act carried out by the *State: favouring one group above another: Jews over non-Jews.

Without a doubt the act of punitive demolitions, against Palestinians but not Jews, is clearly a form of bigoted and corrupted right wing "barbaric" <---your words Israeli state ZIONISM: a rigged game.

3. How can Israel still claim to be a democracy when it has an official policy

of extrajudicial reprisals? It's a cherry picked charade of democracy that offers justice for some, but metes out government vigilantism to those people they deem unworthy of the same protections under the law. Israel's punitive and discriminatory vengence is no substitute for a just and equal legal system when the victims of these destructive acts of have no recourse for redress let alone an opportunity to argue their rights and innocence before a jury of their peers.

That is pretty normal for an occupation situation such as this one.

...do you agree that East Jerusalem should be included oberliner ?

Establishing Jerusalem as the capital of the two states, with East Jerusalem (including the Haram al-Sharif) serving as the capital of Palestine and West Jerusalem (including the Western Wall) serving as the capital of Israel. The city is to be united on the physical and municipal level, based on mutual agreement.

Razing the homes of suspected terrorists is a form of collective punishment that no civilized state should engage in. It's also apartheid, as Jewish terrorists never get their homes razed. The IDF is the savage here, and we must protect the innocent from them.
