Gaza: Hamas militants die in tunnel collapse

28 January 2016 Middle East

Palestinian militant group Hamas says seven of its fighters have died after an attack tunnel they were working on in north-east Gaza collapsed.

The tunnel near the Israeli border collapsed after heavy rain, it said.

Palestinian militants have used tunnels on Gaza's borders with Israel and Egypt to launch attacks on Israel, transport weapons or smuggle goods.

Israel destroyed dozens of tunnels during the 2014 Gaza conflict, but Hamas has been rebuilding them.

that this story has been completely ignored by our progressive media sites. There are always plenty of articles condemning Israel for any actions taken against Gaza (disclaimer: I loathe Netanyahu and do not support settlements) but somehow the information that Hamas is using aid money intended for housing for those made homeless in the last war to build attack tunnels is missing. One might almost conclude that there is bias.......

Once again the Palestinians are let down by their own leaders and once again the left will completely ignore it. I'm with you on both bibi and the settlements but be prepared to be called a right winger and islamophobe or some other bullshit - I urge you to ignore that crap - it's meaningless nonsense and done only to try and get you to back down.

The far left has zero credibility on the I/P issue which is borne out by every single poll of Americans on this. To know just how true that is, there isn't one person running for President that will even make a small bit of noise about the Palestinians other than to point out that Israel has every right in the world to defend itself. The more likely scenario will be for the nominees to try and outdo each other how much they support Israel.

After all, there are probably Zionists pissing over the border onto ground that caved in on these nice, peace loving Hamas gentlemen.

Obvious Zionist war crimes.
