Some 20 settlers rioted Wednesday in the West Bank village of Jallud, near Ramallah. According to the residents, the settlers shattered the windows of one of the village's homes and assaulted three of its residents.

Eyewitnesses said that the settlers then vandalized a car parked nearby and then fled the scene.

Religion & ethnicity etc. might vary. The government makes it attractive to be a "settler", so they are not all there because they are religious "enthusiasts".

Some of them seem to be in the habit of running around in criminal gangs harassing Arabs and vandalizing their property, and the government appears to be unable or unwilling to do much about that.

...and arrest the Palestinian villagers, blaming them for the riot.

Maybe confiscate their homes and give them to the settlers, too?

6. How can we be sure they were settlers? If so, were they provoked into this?

Did any reputable settler group get video of this? If not, it probably didn't happen!!

Just getting in with some of the usual interesting responses I've seen over the years to things like this when it happens to Palestinians....
