For second time, Palestinians from Syria torch Hezbollah aid

SAADNAYEL, Lebanon: Some 1,500 packages of food aid donated by Hezbollah were burned by Palestinian refugees from Syria and local residents in the Bekaa Wednesday, the second such incident in a week. Omar Halabi, the head of the Saadnayel Youth League, told The Daily Star that a truck with boxes of aid was unloaded in the morning at the offices of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Halabi said when the aid was distributed, the refugees noticed the labels attached to each package explaining that the aid was a gift from the “Islamic Resistance in Lebanon to our brethren, the displaced Palestinians from Syria.”

“When the refugees realized that the aid was from the same party which is killing their people in Qusair and in other places, they, with dozens of locals, took the boxes from the Palestinian Cultural Center and burned them,” Halabi said.

It appears that the aid was intercepted by an armed Islamist group linked to Sheikh Ahmad Assir and the foreign mercenaries in Syria.

just about anything pro-Hariri and anti-Syria will get printed there.

The more accurate account of events was published in al-Akbar:-

http://english.al-akhbar.com/content/lebanon-saida-rally-target-hezbollah

Al-Jamaa al-Islamiya announced its rally two days after a group of Islamists burned Hezbollah aid packages intended for Syrian refugees in the city’s Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp. Hezbollah had distributed the aid in question in coordination with members from the Ansar Allah group.

Sheikh Jamal Khattab, the leader of the Islamic Jihadi Group, continued the group’s recent campaign against Hezbollah by collecting some of the aid and setting it on fire.

Shortly afterwards, a statement signed by “The Sunni Commandos of Ain al-Hilweh” claimed that it had expelled the Hezbollah delegation from the camp. The “commandos” urged their brethren in other camps to “follow suit and prevent Hezbollah from entering the camps,” and concluded their statement by declaring “forewarned is forearmed.”

The popular committees in Ain al-Hilweh, which represent various factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), had asked for Hezbollah’s assistance. Hezbollah agreed to the Palestinian request and launched an aid campaign to assist the refugees and provided 2,300 food rations to the camps in Saida.

In parallel with this obstructionist policy adopted by several factions against Hezbollah, the followers of Sheikh Jamal Khattab, the leader of the Islamic Jihadi Group, continued the group’s recent campaign against Hezbollah by collecting some of the aid and setting it on fire. The group’s media office distributed photos of burning aid to journalists via email.

So the Palestinians requested the aid, Hezbollah supplied it and some splinter group within the Ain al-Hilweh camp managed to capture some of the aid relief and burnt it.

Despite all that, you have to congratulate the 100-odd Zionist bloggers who reposted this story for being such willing dupes for Islamist propaganda.
