Senior PA Official: ‘All of Palestine—From the River to the Sea—is Occupied’

A senior Palestinian Authority official didn’t mince words in an interview with an Arabic sports channel recently, telling his interviewer that “Palestine – from the river to the sea – is all occupied,” Palestinian Media Watch reports.

Jibril Rajoub, Member of Fatah Central Committee, Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association and head of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, was responding to a question about the Barcelona soccer team’s upcoming visit to Israel when he said: “They are coming to the occupied lands. All of Palestine – from the [Jordan] river to the [Mediterranean] sea – it’s all occupied.”

3. Wow - Rajoub was to be a keynote speaker at a Meretz conference

Jun 2013
Rajoub, who last month attended the annual Institute for National Security Studies convention in Tel Aviv, was scheduled to be a keynote speaker at a conference organized by the Meretz political party, which took place in Tel Aviv Sunday. Rajoub is a past speaker, too, at Shimon Peres’s annual Presidential Conference.

Last week, Meretz head Zahava Gal-on approached the Defense Ministry, requesting that Rajoub be granted entrance to Israel in order to attend the event. Later, Ruth Bar, Ya’alon’s personal assistant, responded to Gal-on via email that her request had been denied....

...Rajoub, former director of the Preventive Security Force in the West Bank, told a conference in October 2012 that “Jews are Satans, and Zionists the sons of dogs.”

Later in April, Rajoub declared during an interview on PA TV that “we as yet don’t have a nuke, but I swear that if we had a nuke, we’d have used it this very morning.”

In an interview with the Lebanese TV channel al-Mayadeen on May 1, he said that, for Fatah, “resistance to Israel remains on our agenda.”

“I mean resistance in all of its forms,” he elaborated. “At this stage, we believe that popular resistance — with all that it entails — is effective and costly to the other side (Israel),” Rajoub said in the hour-long interview, which was highlighted by the watchdog group Palestinian Media Watch.

Rajoub, who spent 17 years in Israeli jails after throwing a hand-grenade at an army bus, later served as Arafat’s national security adviser. He is a signatory to the Geneva Initiative, which brings together Israelis and Palestinians committed to a two-state solution, and was one of the prominent figures who starred in an advertising campaign by the initiative’s sponsors, advocating a negotiated settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

as now

“Palestine, from the Jordan to the Sea, belongs to us!” declared Khaled Meshal last week at the huge victory rally in Gaza.

“Eretz Israel, from the sea to the Jordan, belongs to us!” declare right-wing Israelis on every occasion.

The two statements seem to be the same, with only the name of the country changed.

the poster is old but the current reality is that one side is removing the others people from land it was given temporary guardianship over 20 years ago, who's intent should we take more seriously the one talking or the one doing?

Netanyahu: I won't carry out an Olmert-Abbas peace deal if elected

Opposition leader favored by polls to sweep elections if held today rejects proposal to divide Jerusalem, says would toss out agreement between current PM, Palestinians

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3533242,00.html

Shaul Arieli of the Council for Peace and Security, which developed a map with a final border as part of the Geneva Initiative, said Israel's capacity to swap territory with a future Palestinian state is more limited than what Olmert reportedly proposed

http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/news/haaretz-exclusive-olmert-s-plan-for-peace-with-the-palestinians-1.1970

Under the proposal, Israel would return to the Palestinians 93 percent of the West Bank, plus all of the Gaza Strip, when the Palestinian Authority regains control over the Gaza Strip, which the militant group Hamas seized from forces loyal to Abbas in June 2006.

Olmert presented Abbas with the proposal as part of an agreement in principle on borders, refugees and security arrangements between Israel and a future Palestinian state

10. Palestinians rejected last 3 offers; the latest being a 100% deal...

And no counter-offers, yet still you whine about occupation.

True "Pro-Palestinians" would encourage Palestinian leaders to accept Israel's unprecedentedly generous offers. True Pro-Palestinians would hold their leaders to account for keeping the "occupation" going despite Israel's efforts. True Pro-Palestinians would not encourage Palestinian self-destruction just because it can be misrepresented to hurt Israel.

It seems that only Pro-Israelis and Palestinian renegades actually want Palestinian self-determination. Their leaders and Western propagandists surely seem to hate the idea.

SHARE this post if you are sick of the lies, manipulation and hypocrisy of Western so-called "Pro-Palestinian" activists.
