The IDF no longer even pretends it's trying

http://972mag.com/the-idf-no-longer-even-pretends-its-trying/85592/

The army admits its observers noticed the masked Israeli bandits descending on Qusra – and did nothing.

A case of man bites dog: on Tuesday, January 7, in the village of Qusra, Palestinians united in order to defend themselves from a group of Israeli marauders, taking the latter captive, and turning them over to the authorities. The rare event drew significant media attention.

However one point did not get the attention it required: The IDF told Haaretz newspaper (Hebrew) that “an observation post identified the settlers, some of whom were hooded, descending towards the village, but then eye contact with them was lost.”

You get that? The IDF identified a group of masked people heading toward a Palestinian village, and in response it did… nothing. The army entered the picture only after the raiders’ plans had been disrupted, in order to return them to their homes. That is, as far the Israeli army – which effectively is the sovereign over the West Bank – is concerned, it is perfectly reasonable that masked men will pass by its apathetic eyes to raid a Palestinian village.

The apartheid picnic seems to have taken a trip to to old south in order revive the tactics of the Hooded Order.

Good ole settlers wearing hoods to conceal their faces, heading towards a family that they want to run out of town? Hey, don't worry. Boys will be boys, but if that uppity family tries to fight back then we will have to set things right and crack their skulls.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

got blood noses for trying, anyway.

It was a Palestinian Authority officer that safeguarded the settlers until they could be evacuated by the Israeli police.

Given that display of goodwill, I wonder if Israel will actually have the good taste to actually charge these settlers with their crimes?

Ha, of course not.
