Last mass held in Beit Jala as court to rule on land seizure

http://www.maannews.net/eng/ViewDetails.aspx?ID=667741

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Residents of Beit Jala held their last weekly mass Friday in an area threatened by Israel's separation wall as locals awaited a decision from Israel's Supreme Court on an appeal to halt the land seizure.

Around 60 Palestinians, internationals and representatives of the Catholic, Orthodox and Lutheran churches gathered on an olive tree-covered hilltop in the Cremisan Valley to pray for a halt to Israel's separation wall, which is set to annex the entire lush green area north of Beit Jala.
---
Issa Kassissieh, Palestine's ambassador to the Vatican, which owns the land threatened with confiscation, told Ma'an that the seizure was unacceptable.
---
"If they take our land there will be no future. No houses or cultural sites, or the monasteries that we have, or the agricultural land that we used to work on."

I guess that Israel must be very Democratic indeed to just take something that doesn't belong to it.

Really, what a bunch of spoiled and USA funded assholes.

BDS.

But thanks for posting this. I have never heard a strong and valid argument for the annexing (=theft) of the property of others.

and educate the rest. If the former do not appreciate it it is not my care. My only hope is that I reach the latter.

I was surprised when I read this as well. Not by the way that Israel works by eating somebody else's pizza, but that the apartheid state would attempt to theft from a religious order just like they have taken from the rest of the Palestinians.

It takes quite a pair of US-funded balls to openly steal something that you have no claim to, but so the apartheid picnic marches on.
