The Anti-Defamation Leagues national director, Abraham Foxman, criticized the continued imprisonment of convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, calling it on the verge of anti-Semitism.
Still, Foxman said, the fact that Pollard remains in prison despite having spied for an ally shows that there is an ongoing vendetta against him.
Foxman adds: If it were only a vendetta against one individual it would be bad enough. But it has now become one against the American Jewish community.
Foxman called for Pollards parole on humanitarian grounds. He called Pollards continued imprisonment an effort to intimidate American Jews. And, it is an intimidation that can only be based on an anti-Semitic stereotype about the Jewish community, one that we have seen confirmed in our public opinion polls over the years, the belief that American Jews are more loyal to Israel than to their own country, the United States.

(30,099 posts)has hinted that Pollards release could be expedited if Israel makes additional unilateral concessions to the Palestinians.
The obscene implications of this are magnified given the extraordinary pressure which Kerry exerted on Israel to release 104 mass murderers to induce the Palestinians to even agree to conduct negotiations.
Hopefully Israeli leaders will adamantly distance themselves from enabling the Americans to exploit Pollard as a pawn in the extortion game with the Palestinians.

As I suspected, the accusations are the ground work to protect the framework with Israel.

(30,099 posts)I find it hard to believe Foxman is invested in Pollards release, certainly not to the degree
he is pushing the envelope with his vendetta card..anti-semitism. This is more about
the framework and Kerry had better not push Israel into doing anything they don't want., imo.

(12,606 posts)It's too bad we didn't shut of the fucking ally that employed pollard to spy on the USA.
But everybody does it...then asks for billions in aid.
