Israel/Palestine
Related: About this forumFatah threatens Israelis: "Leave immediately"
On one of its official Facebook pages the Fatah movement, which is headed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, yesterday posted a warning to Israelis. A sign showed an assault rifle and a map of "Palestine" that included both PA areas and all of Israel. In Arabic, Hebrew, and English it said: "Warning. This is a land of a Palestinian state and the occupation to leave immediately" (English original).
Internationally, Abbas continuously affirms the Palestinians' desire for a two-state solution and a Palestinian state on the 1967-borders. However, that statement is not reflected in this poster, nor in many other statements and messages to the Palestinian people.

(25,699 posts)Like military occupation, support for violence against and murder of civilians, abduction of children, assassinations of political leaders, the maintenance of a concentration camp or two in the desert, and the like.
Because if posting a graphic calling for the end of occupation is "genocidal," what the hell do we call actual military effort to obliterate an entire nation, disperse its people, eradicate its culture, and kill those who argue? For that matter, if a facebook graphic calling for an end to occupation is genocide, then what the fuck is actual genocide?
Doesn't comparing the mass eradication of entire swaths of humanity, to an image on social media, actually devalue the former by a great deal?
I don't think you they any clue what the fuck you're talking about. And you demonstrate that by sourcing to PalWatch, and that leatherface piece of shit Itamar Marcus... because hey, if "end the occupation" is genocide, then PalWatch is a skinsuit-wearing cannibal cult.

Fatah official, Abbas Zaki:
"Israel will come to an end. If I say that I want to remove it from existence, this will be great, great, [but] it is hard. This is not a [stated] policy. You can't say it to the world. You can say it to yourself." Al-Jazeera, Sept. 23, 2011
"I believe that Allah will gather them so we can kill them. I am informing the murderer of his death." Official PA TV, March 12, 2014
Fatah leader Tawfik Tirawi
"This is our goal; this is the lantern that lights our way;
these are our principles in the Fatah Movement:
Palestine - Gaza is part of it; the West Bank is part of it;
and it is Haifa, Jaffa, Acre, and it is all of Palestine" Al-Manar TV (Hezbollah), April 2, 2014

(25,699 posts)That's your claim, that the image in your OP is "genocidal." That this image is on equal level with Rwanda, Darfur, the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, the annihilation of 25 million Native Americans, the purging of the Marsh Arabs in Iraq, the Porjamos, Cambodia, Nanking, all of it.
If this image you posted is equal to all that, then absolutely you must regard gaza as a concentration camp. A densely overpopulated coastal desert, 75% of its population refugees or the descendants of refugees ethnically clenased from their homes and shunted to this place, which dwells behind the wires and guns of the controlling power, which not only holds life and death decision over the inhabitants, but strictly controls their lives through blockades and barriers designed to drive the people into further privation - to speak nothing of the region's use as a free-fire zone every time an Israeli election rolls around?
That's certainly much more of a concentration camp, than a facebook graphic is genocide.
How about those walled-off villages in the West bank, or the massive prison complex in the Naqab designed to hold African migrants - or as people like you call them, "infiltrators"? They're more like concentration camps than a facebook image is ever like genocide.
If you're going to bungee jump off the deep end and claim that a facebook post is genocide, well, you should have no difficulty accepting these much more modest observations.

(25,699 posts)I'll give you and Mosby the same advice I give anti-zionists who invoke Genocide; get your heads out of your ass and learn what the worse you use mean before you say them.
...Except the naive anti-Zionist is probably talking about an act of ethic cleaning, while you are talking about a fucking facebook post.
You're damn right I'm uncivil and rude. If you're telling me that a facebook post is tantamount to genocide, you deserve no better-

(3,385 posts)nefesh b'nefesh is a private organization that assists North American and UK Jews to make aliya. Fatah is effectively the governing body of Palestinians outside of Gaza. It's about as mainstream as you can get. Not to mention that there isn't anything in this map you posted that says Israel or Palestine or that there is nothing in it or the group's message that says anything about removing Palestinians, let alone violently. There isn't any legitimate comparison between the two groups and you knew that before you posted this nonsense. So do you want to deal honestly with the issue, or are you going to continue to go with denial and diversion?

(45,850 posts)and it's map shows no boundaries between the occupied territories and Israel
I guess you want us to believe that Palestinians both in the Negev (Bedouin) and in the occupied territories leave their homes voluntarily
But it's enlightening to see you give more credence to a Facebook post than what is actually happening on the ground
